Even During This COVID-19 Pandemic, We Meet Production Goals
As we have re-stated many times during this virus pandemic that has killed and made sick so many, we have complied with all the State Executive Orders and all federal CDC safety guidelines to protect our employees and our customers from COVID-19. And we will continue to do so now that vaccinations are protecting more of us each day.
But that doesn’t mean that we haven’t also met our ongoing contract obligations. We have! Look at the short video above documenting a product a customer needed and our knowledge, ingenuity, creativity and technology to make it even better than designed. Explained simply, our customer’s drawings called for a piece that wasn’t available off the shelf from any supply house or mill and wasn’t a standard extrusion. So Jim envisioned a cost-effective fabrication: a much-modified 4” I-beam machined into a 1.5” T-bar, with a steel strip cut away and an extended groove with other adjustments milled into it. When the first was finished, it was a perfect match for the designed pieces in the drawings. It follows Jim’s regular directive: “The way to get something done is quit talking and start doing.” 1
